Process Instruments turns 20!

In November 2018, Pi celebrated its 20th anniversary with a party for employees, shareholders, suppliers, partners and friends, in The Prestbury Suite at The Oaks Hotel in Burnley.

Gifts for Directors and Shareholders

As part of the celebrations, directors and shareholders were presented with a selection of gifts, including two from Burnley based companies; gin from Batch Brew Ltd., and flowers from Sweet William Florists. Guests were entertained with live music by rock and pop band, Hipster.

Pi was launched on 1st November 1998 by Managing Director Mike Riding and Service Director Jonathan Cook, in a 4m by 4m room at Mike’s home. Over the years, the company has moved to other locations including Mike’s garage and other industrial units, before setting up at Process House, March Street, where we are today.

Over the years, Pi has worked with the University of Manchester, University of Warwick and Lancaster University on development projects and Knowledge Transfer Partnerships, and has won numerous awards in Engineering, Innovation and Export Achievement.

We want to say a massive thank you to everyone involved and look forward to the next 20 years!”As well as celebrating the last 20 years, Pi also celebrated achievements from the last year including 2 new companies, a growth of more than 40% and the best ever sales month in October 2018.
